The Furniture Technology Centre Trust(Furntech), a Business Incubator Centre and an accredited training provider for furniture manufacturing skills, is seeking to appoint additional facilitators at their centres of excellence for the furniture and wood products sector in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
We are on the look out for true self-starters to join our fast-paced, dynamic team.
The following positions are available:
1. Wood Machining Facilitator
2. Cabinet Making Facilitator
3. Wood Finishing Facilitator
4. Upholstery Facilitator
The selected facilitator(s), will be responsible for the provision and management of training within the various specialist disciplines, including course development, administration and provision of an advisory services.
The ideal candidate(s) will have successfully completed the relevant trade test and a post matric qualification in a technical or educational field; have a minimum of 5 years industrial experience; excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English; PC literacy, ability to work under pressure; comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Previous experience in training would be an added advantage.
Candidates that meet the above requirements will be trained as skills development facilitators and assessors.

5. Receptionist / Administrator
The Receptionist / Administrator will be responsible for the general receptionist and administration duties including purchasing, invoicing and learner administration.
The ideal candidate(s) will have successfully completed a basic bookkeeping course; be in possession of a valid driver’s licence; have a minimum of 2 years industrial experience; excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English; PC literacy, ability to work under pressure; comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Competitive remuneration packages based on “cost to company” are attached to these positions.
